About Phil

Phil is passionate about seeing people grow to become more authentically themselves. He wants to assist them, and their respective communities, on this journey through support and challenge. This has been his fundamental driver.

Phil has done this in many contexts; as a pastoral care person for students, a school leader, a coach for emerging educators and a coach of various sporting teams.

In the last decade he has had a growing desire to pass on what he has learned to other educators, and this has led him to do this for small and large groups of teachers, pastoral care specialists, and university lecturers.

Phil grew up in Malaysia and Hong Kong and came ‘home’ to Australia in Year 12. It was a formative upbringing filled with great opportunities and his share of challenges. He learned from both. As a ‘Phys Edder’, Phil continued to deepen his learning—formally and informally—across diverse fields, including education, pastoral care, music, theology, ontological practice, and philosophy.
